What is this group?
Pride Out South is our South Auckland peer social group based in Manukau that meets twice a month. Our groups are there to providing support and social contact outside of a night club environment. We're here for under 27 year olds who identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, takataapui or fa'afafine.
Who goes to it?
Anyone under the age of 27.. Many are questioning their sexuality or gender identity, or have just recently 'come out' and others might be new to Auckland and are looking to make more friends.
There are also facilitators who run the group. You can talk to them in private if you need to. They will let you know about upcoming events and other Rainbow Youth activities.
We often hold events other than our regular meetings, like movie nights, shows, bowling, dinners, pool, karaoke, laser strike and picnics.
When do we meet?
Meetings generally take place at the Friendship House in Manukau City once every two weeks.
