GQ (Generation Queer)
GQ is the Rainbow Youth social group for 18 year olds and under. It's a chance for people to get together, have a coffee, chat about life, school and the rest.
I.D. (Identity)
I.D. is the Rainbow Youth social group for 18 to 27 year olds. It meets every week on Karangahape Road in Auckland.
G-IQ (Gender Identity Quest)
This Rainbow Youth social group is especially for young people who are questioning their gender identity.
Queer4Shore
Based in Takapuna, is our North Shore group for 18 to 27 year olds.
Out and About
Is our East Auckland group based in Botany. They meet once a fortnight on Fridays, 5pm at Columbus Cafe for 18 to 27 year olds.
Qwest
We're looking in to creating a West Auckland group, out Henderson way. Please contact us if you're interested in attending the group.
Queermation
We meet once a month at the Rainbow Youth Centre and watch and discuss anime and anime with queer context.
Go Active
Rainbow Youth's social group. We organise month activities for all RY members to get involved in.
Game Evenings
Come join us each month, bring your favourite board game and enjoy a relaxed, fun evening with friends!
What we mean when we say queer
A reclaimed word that represents sexuality and gender diversity. We use it to encompass lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, fa'afafine, and takataapui identities, as well as everyone in between and not sure. This word is used by many people, but it is also appreciated that it is not the preferred term for everybody.
