Rainbow Youth's secret Sydney mission revealed

In the early hours of yesterday morning, Clint and Daniel from Rainbow Youth were secretly flown to Sydney to be involved in a top secret project. At 11am (Syndey time) yesterday Rainbow Youth was announced the recipient of a brand new website thanks to international web design competition FullCodePress, but the twist was that the site had to be built from scratch within 24 hours. The contest started at 1pm yesterday and finished at 1pm today.

The Sydney-based competition puts a New Zealand team of six professional web developers against their Australian counterparts. They are tasked with building an entire website for a non-profit charity in just 24 hours. At the end of the build, the charities get to keep and use their website for free.

To ensure that the teams didn't get a head start, the identities of the charities were kept secret until the Trans-Tasman battle commenced today. We were named as the one of the two lucky charities, along with New South Wales Disability Discrimination Legal Centre.

Clint and Daniel were introduced to their team of six developers and then they launched straight into designing and building. The 'CodeBlacks' team made up of Haydn, Nick, Kate, Darren, Tim and Courtney (see their full profiles) worked tirelessly for 24 hours solid, only stopping for momentarily for Darren's mandatory 'star jump sessions'.
